ALPHA2 25-60 180 is a high-efficiency circulator designed for fluid circulation in domestic heating systems. The stainless steel version, ideal for hot water systems, among other applications, features an Energy Efficiency Index (EEI) of 0.17, well below the ErP benchmark. As a result, the pump provides significant energy savings
Thanks to the AUTOADAPT function, the unit constantly adjusts its output to the current heat demand - taking into account the size of the system and changing heating conditions throughout the year. AUTOADAPT automatically adjusts the settings to ensure optimal comfort with minimal energy consumption, making system start-up quick, safe and easy
In addition, the circulator offers three control modes
- Proportional pressure control
- Constant pressure control
- Constant curve mode
The display shows the current power consumption (in watts) or flow rate (in m³/h), and LEDs provide information on operating status and alarms and warnings
Additional functions
- Temperature reduction function: When turned on, the pump automatically reduces the motor speed to save energy - depending on the temperature of the flow pipe.
- Manual summer mode: In summer, the unit starts at low speed to prevent impeller blockage and valve sticking, while saving energy.
- Integral design: The pump and motor form a single unit without a shaft seal, and the bearings are lubricated by the fluid being pumped, ensuring maintenance-free operation.
- High-torque start: Allows correct starting even in difficult conditions.
- Quick installation: The ALPHA plug allows for instant electrical connection, and the compact design with integrated control panel fits most installations.
- Hydraulic balancing: Working with ALPHA Reader and the Grundfos GO Balance app, installers can quickly and easily perform hydraulic balancing of radiator and floor heating systems.
Design and materials
The ALPHA2 25-60 180 pump is designed for long life and maintenance-free operation. It has a ceramic shaft, radial bearings and a carbon bearing, and the impeller is made of stainless steel. In addition, the use of bearing plate, impeller lining and composite impeller affect the reliability of the device
The pump body is made of cast iron, electro-corroded to increase corrosion resistance. The motor is a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a compact stator, characterized by high efficiency. The speed of the pump is controlled by an integrated frequency converter located in the control box
